چکیده

The branching patterns of the arteries deriving from the embryonic aortic arches were investigated in 1,046 spontaneous chick hatchlings of White Leghorn. An incomplete ductus arteriosus (Botalli) was found on each side of every case observed. An unusual branching patterns were found in 14 hatchlings and were classifiable into the following 4 (B to E) types. Type A (Normal pattern): The aorta arose from the left ventricle and gave off the left and right brachiocephalic arteries. Each brachiocephalic artery was divided into the common carotid and the subclavian arteries. Type B: The right brachiocephalic artery had a slightly higher origin on the aorta. Type C: The right subclavian artery had a slightly lower origin on the right brachiocephalic artery. Type D: The right brachiocephalic artery was absent and the right subclavian and right common carotid arteries arose directly from the arch of aorta. Type E: The distal end of the right brachiocephalic artery fused with the distal part of the arch of aorta.

A Retroesophageal Right Subclavian Artery as the Last Branch of the Aortic Arch- In Vivo Case Report

Three major arteries normally originate from the aortic arch. Variations of the aortic arch branches are observed in some cases. Rare variation of the aortic arch branches is originated from the retroesophageal right subclavian (RRS) artery as the last branch of the aortic arch. Variation of artery is possibly associated with the variation of the recurrent laryngeal nerve. This research p...

A Rare Variation of Right Subclavian Artery Origin from Posterior Surface of Aortic Arch

Purpose: Several variations of aortic arch have been reported yet. In present study another variation of aortic arch was reported. Right subclavian artery arises from posterior surface of the distal end of the aortic arch. Case Report: we present a variation of an aorticarch in which right subclavian artery arisesfrom posterior surface of the distal end of the aortic arch and passing behind eso...

A Case Report of Variant Origin of Left Vertebral Artery from Aortic Arch and its Embryological Explanation

Vertebral artery is the first branch of subclavian artery. It merges with the same artery of the opposite side to form basilar artery and becomes one of the important source of blood supply to the brain. Variation in the origin of left vertebral artery was found in 65 year old female during magnetic resonance angiography of the neck vessels. It originated from aortic arch and was longer as ...

Stridor in a Newborn with Double Aortic Arch-A Case Report

Introduction: Double aortic arch (DAA) is a congenital anomaly of the aortic arch. It is the most common type of complete vascular ring. When it occurs, the connected segment of the aortic arch and its branches encircle the trachea and esophagus, leading to symptoms related to these two structures. Case Report: We present a case of a newborn baby who developed biphasic stridor immediately after...

Three Cases of a Rare Association: Double Aortic Arch

Background Vascular ring is less than 1% of congenital heart disease. Double aortic arch (DAA) is the most common form of it.  Its detecting is important because of the effects of pressure on the esophagus and trachea. Case Report In this study, three children suffering from double aortic arch with symptoms of dysphagia and recurrent aspiration, which in two cases had led to cardiac arrest, wer...
